SINGLE REVIEW: Manners and Profanity - Loser

East Anglia's Manners and Profanity return with their kick ass new single 'Loser'. Long gone is the band's tongue in cheek, somewhat throw away sound replaced with a gritty, ballsy dose of anthemic rock.

The band take themselves seriously, something that was lacking in their previous incarnation and its that seriousness and desire to create hard-hitting, bold anthems that elevates them to the top on East Anglia's alt rock game.

While it doesn't have quite the same impact and wow factor of previous single "What Is Mine' 'Loser' still blasts with arena filling qualities. Confident, polished but raw and heartfelt.

The sound captures the very essence of grunge; gripping, intense vocals deliver darkened lyrics atop sludgy, distorted guitars, heavy bass and rampant drums. 'Loser' also injects elements of blues with a more rhythmic, melancholic tone.

It took them a while, a few line up chances but Manners and Profanity have found their niche, a style that allows them to produce music with honesty and integrity. It's clear to hear that they mean every word and inject every bit of themselves into the sound they're creating. I'm excited to see what's next for the band and can't wait to see them live.

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
