SINGLE REVIEW: Low Coast - I Know I'll Never Know
Low Coast is the new band from Gamefaces' Jeff Caudill. They deliver a softer, more thoughtful sound than Gameface, offering a mosaic of fragmented perspectives capturing the idea that in a tumultuous world it's easy to turn inwards, getting lost in your own mind searching for answers but only finding more questions.
Latest single 'I Know We'll Never Know' is a beautiful, expressive, emotional soundscape of 90's inspired rock. Feeling reminiscent of The Gin Blossom and Gigolo Aunts with hints of REM sparkle the band captivate with their nostalgic vibes. Laid back with elements of grunge it's a sound that could have been lifted straight out of 1993.
Jeff's vocals are stunning, rich and immersive with a warm reflective tone. There's enticing riffs and dreamy hooks. It's the type of track that from first listen somehow feels homely and familiar taking the listener back through the decades to when youth was on our side.
'I know We'll Never Know' captures the idea of shattered memories, loss, death and the regret that you never knew someone as well as you should have. It's a song that while warming your heart breaks it too.
'I Know I'll Never Know' is lifted from Low Coast's forthcoming debut album "Exiting the Dream" which is out on May 26th.
