SINGLE REVIEW: Sock - Change Your Mind

Up and coming Cardiff alt rockers Sock return with the second single 'Change Your Mind' lifted from their Self Titled sophomore album which was released on April 28th.

The track offers melodic psychedelic, dreamy sunshine laced vibes with relaxed, graceful vocals. Uptempo drums join joyful guitars bursting with catchy jangle while slightly distorted bass brings the sound together.

'Change Your Mind' delivers a safe, known indie stance but adds moments of experimentation to keep things interesting. Blending in some elements of proggy radiance with indulgent riffs breaking pace from their upbeat melodies. Their sound is chilled but driven, likable and familiar while also fresh and innovative.

This is my first encounter with Sock and I'm sure it won't be my last. I can't wait to give their album, which was written and produced by the band during the pandemic, a spin!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
