SINGLE REVIEW: HANGAR - Led Zed

Brash and abrasive new single 'Lep Zed' from France's HANGER is a banging explosion of arty, attitude-heavy post-punk mayhem!

The swirling intro builds expectation as we're introduced to HANGARS' signature booming drums and high-impact catchy riffs. The track twists and turns from pretentious, dispassionate nonchalance to ballsy eruptions of disarray like a rag doll being tossed in the air by an excitable puppy.

There's an explosive chorus, acerbic group vox, a funky little groove, and an overall stance of a band who are making the music they love and having the time of their lives doing it.

Inspired by the feelings experienced during the Covid lockdown, 'Led Zed' is a raw, passionate slice of volcanic, effortless post-punk. HANGAR is here to make themselves heard and have a blast!

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
