SINGLE REVIEW: Bitter Kisses - Pr*y

Bitter Kisses are the angst driven, attitude heavy band you've been searching for! Their debut single 'Pr*y' is a kick-ass, unapologetic anthem for those frustrated in love.

Coming in on an industrial buzz 'Pr*y' moves into an exhilarating heavy rock sound with stunning, self assured vocals that almost reach the operatic tones found in symphonic metal. There's killer hooks, big riffs, captivating synths, thundering drums and breathtaking harmonies. They blend the melodies of pop with the darkness of gothic rock to create a sound that has a massive impact.

'Pr*y' drags you in from the moment it starts and has you channeling the anger being wronged in love. It builds on the frustrations of lies and all the times you've allowed another person to wear you away with their deceit leaving you vulnerable like prey. The moment you realise and acknowledge the way you're being treated but feel so worn down you convince yourself it's what you deserve; "you're wearing me away, you break me into pieces, but I'm better off this way because I deserve it". It continues to rage about worshipping someone but getting nothing back from them. They take all you have to give and leave you feeling defenseless.

'Pr*y' is a hell of a song. The coupling of Gemma's beautiful voice with the more raw tones of Thomas and Josh adds extra dimension. It's one of the best debut singles I've heard. It will open old wounds, rub salt in them and leave you in full on fight mode!

Absolutely incredible! I love pretentious female fronted rock and I’m obsessed with Bitter Kisses, I can't wait to see what's next for the band.
