SINGLE REVIEW: Themis - Roses of Deceit

Germany's Themis takes us down the darker path of rock on his noisy, indie anthem 'Roses of Deceit'.

Drawing the listener in on a nonchalant drum track before introducing a darkened hook and haunting, sinister vocals. 'Roses of Deceit' builds into a cacophony of noisy guitars and fuzzy sounds backed with an attractive groove.

Transpiring from its understated start it descends into a frantic, urgent barrage of chaos with battling, emotional vocals spilling real pain and anguish. The drums thunder and the gothic energy plays out. Themis' vocals are bold and artistic while the track's overall sound is distinctive and enthralling with killer, erupting riffs.

'Roses of Deceit' is a glamorous, articulate slice of raw indie rock with gothic tendencies where sometimes ethereal vocals are combined with the track's epic stance.

Bold, grand, understated, dark and totally infectious!
