Aussie Pop Rockers Bellwether Release New Single ‘fallingshort’

Sydney based Pop Punk band Bellwether have shared their new introspective, Porter-Robinson-influenced single ‘fallingshort’. Produced by Stevie Knight (Stand Atlantic, Yours Truly, Redhook), ‘fallingshort’ is the bands most honest work to date and encompasses the unwelcome feeling of not achieving what you think you're capable of.

“fallingshort’ is a pensive, emotionally driven pop punk track that is musically inspired by the works of electronic artist Porter Robinson, with further inspiration taken from 2000’s era emo pop punk. The song is a reflection on the decisions we wish we would have made in the past and the opportunities we feel have passed us by, while maintaining a determined outlook towards the future” - Heath Joukhadar (Guitarist)

In support of the release, the Bellwether will be sharing the stage with fellow Australian Pop Punk band Yours Truly on 10th August in Sydney, as well as playing their first show in Melbourne supporting Excuse For An Exit on 12th August. Full details below:

10th August 2023 - Sydney, The Lansdowne Hotel w/ Yours Truly

12th August 2023 - Melbourne, Bergy Bandroom w/ Excuse For An Exit

‘fallingshort’ follows Bellwether’s single ‘Hurricane’ which released earlier this year on 10th March 2023 featuring Midwest Pop Punk contemporaries Brooklane. The song received widespread acclaim, receiving support from Triple J, Kerrang! Magazine, HEAVYMag, Bring The Noise and Total Rock Radio.

Previous Support

“It’s evocative of the Warped Tour greats of the early 2000s, recalling names like Simple Plan, Good Charlotte and Paramore. The squeaky-clean production, however, gives it a distinctly modern edge.” - Ellie Robinson, NME (AUS)

“Impermanence is a straight-fire debut from Bellwether, which is hopefully the onslaught of bigger things to come” - Tamara May, Wall of Sound (AUS)

“The moments that this band puts forth, it’s like, action-f**king packed…it’s unbelievable how good they are at capturing an energy” - Shane Told (Silverstein), Lead Singer Syndrome (CAN)
