Parachute for Gordo are proud to present their new single Lizard B Movie, coming on 4th August 2023. Lizard B Movie is the debut single on forthcoming release Affe Zu, Klappe Tot on Not Clean Records, coming 1st September 2023.
Bassist John Harvey said, "Affe Zu, Klappe Tot is our first recording in three years and we wanted it to be more of everything we’re known for. Heavier, more cosmic, more beautiful, more intricate, weirder, more accessible. It feels like we haven’t existed for years now with everything that’s happened in the world and our lives, we're really excited to bring these new songs to life in front of people for the first time,"
The EP finds the band exploring outwards in all directions, from the sunshine post-emo of Lizard B Movie, the oppressive noise landscape of Film as Frogs, to the expansive cosmic Papillon, Papilloff. Parachute for Gordo invite you to join them as they embark on their fifth era of existence.
The band are launching the single and album with a number of live dates, including their debut set at ArcTanGent 2023 and a tour around the UK.
Bio :
Parachute for Gordo are an instrumental post rock band based in the cultural capitals of Aldershot, UK and Berlin, Germany. Since 2012 they have been known for their playful, intimate live shows with an ambitious DIY approach to creating their musical projects. Parachute for Gordo is Dr Laura Lee (guitar, keys), John Harvey (bass) and Mark Glaister (drums).
