TFW was the 1995 Scene Magazine Band of the Year and the Album "Nothing" was also name record of the year. The band was a regional hit opening opening for acts like Alanic Morriset, The Verve Pipe, Toad the wet Sprocket and 10,000 Maniacs to name a few. TFW just performed to a sold out crowd in October of 2023 for their 30th Anniversary concert.
"We decided it was time to get some tunes down that we have been working on since 2019 when Tom and I got together. It has been a spectacular journey taking the arrangements from acoustic guitar and bass to full band in the studio. A couple of these songs were sketches I started on cassette tape when I was 18, so it has been great to breathe life into them all these years later, then write new material and get it recorded.", said Lead Singer Josh Stone.
"The Fifth Wheel has grown up and grown with our songs. Anyone who listens will still hear that classic TFW hook and Josh's perfect lyrics, but now maturity and 3 decades of performing, tunes your ear on to that pure FIfth Wheel sound. We are really proud of this and it's very cool how the songs have grown up." said Bassist Tom Weyand
