The Amazons are back! After a huge Top 5 record with 2022’s How Will I Know If Heaven Will Find Me?, the band return with their dark new single ‘Living A Lie’.
Produced by Pete Hutchings (Royal Blood, Gang Of Youths, Foals), tackling past frustrations and future anxieties, ‘Living A Lie’ signals the emergence of The Amazons’ brand new sound - still loaded with riffs and roaring with aggression, but packed with a whole new level of energy and grandiose, seeing frontman Matt Thomson delivering smart words with a newfound eloquence of phrase. Matt explains; “Living A Lie is an ode to staring at the ceiling in the early hours of the morning - when little fictions turn into hard truths in the stillness of the night. We were working on a very different sound before Living A Lie. This song articulated a tone and a feeling that spoke to our lives in a way we hadn’t been able to access previously. An anxiety about the future and a frustration with the past.”
