Sun Mahshene reveal final taster single from debut album

Hailing from Dublin, Ireland, Sun Mahshene emerged in 2018, breathing new life into the indie and shoegaze scenes.

Comprising six diverse members from Ireland, the United Kingdom, and Poland, Sun Mahshene provide a musical journey that transcends genres, dubbing their sound ‘Post-Shoegaze’ for the masses.

Championed by the likes of Amazing Radio, BBC Across The Line, BBC Radio 1, RTÉ 2FM, 98 FM, Hotpress and more, the band have defined themselves as a stand-out act in the country's thriving music industry.

New single, "Pale Azure" is the third single and final taster of the band’s debut album "A PLACE WE’VE NEVER BEEN", which is set for release on August 9th. The single is rightfully proud of its credentials, channeling shoegaze, anthemic indie and grunge-tinged alternative rock right to the centre of its shimmering core. This single, as with their previous releases, "New Shores" and "Reverie" features RIDE’s Mark Gardener at the controls on mastering duties.

Laden with blistering shoegaze intent, "Pale Azure" is joyous, forceful and uplifting, with tinges of melancholy.

“The lyrics aspire to inspire the listener to rise above limitations and chase their highest aspirations. This song celebrates the courage to pursue greatness and the relentless spirit that refuses to settle for less"

- Nathan Henderson, lead vocalist and songwriter

‘Pale Azure’ was produced and mixed by Michael Richards and Sun Mahshene,  engineered by Michael Richards, recorded at Trackmix Studio, Dublin, Ireland and Mastered by Mark Gardener, OX4 Sound, UK.

Sun Mahshene are Nathan Henderson on vocals and guitar; Robert Crosbie on guitar and vocals; Ian McGinn on guitar; Asia Wolf on keyboards and vocals; David Hilliard on bass and vocals and Dave Murray on drums.

PRESS

"Very much in the Shoegaze vein, which is a good thing by me, as a massive Shoegaze fan. You'll detect elements of My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive in the sound world of what it is that they do. Mastered by a true Shoegazer, Mark Gardner from Ride - it's a great song!" -  Stephen McCauley BBC Radio Belfast

"If you love your psych music, this is just the tune for you. The Dublin post shoegaze sextet also have an edge of psych to them I think." - Shell Zenner, Amazing Radio

“A perfect storm of shoe-gaze guitars, memorable melodies and insightful lyrics” - Gemma Bradley, BBC Radio Foyle, ATL

“This is an excellent piece of rock, kind of shoe-gaze” - Kieran McGuiness, Radio Nova
