SOPHIE LILAH Moves Through Her Pain With 'Content But I Find' And Announces Debut EP

In a mellow daydream, Sophie Lilah’s second single of the year in the lead up to her debut EP Fear/Instinct (Friday, August 16) graces the scene: ‘Content But I Find’ is a slow, delicate indie/ folk ballad that is out now.

At just 18, Sophie Lilah is forging a promising path for herself in the industry, and her last few releases have set her apart and marked her as someone to keep eyes on. Her last single ‘Dreamland’ was praised by the likes of Apple MusicTriple J Unearthed, Music Feeds, Scenestr, AAA Backstage, RTR FM, 2SER and more for its ethereal vocals, catchy sound, and skillful musical buildup.

With gentle guitar and layered vocals, this song is artful in the way it balances slow and easy melodies with Sophie Lilah’s emotional lyrics and voice, guiding the listener through her experiences through a peaceful lazy river of a song. This song, like her last release, is a dreamy, earthy journey, and sets up for what’s to come in her upcoming debut EP Fear/Instinct.

‘Content But I Find’
illustrates certain memories with an old friend as she reminisces on them and thinks about what went wrong between them. Sophie Lilah shares:

"I wrote this when I was on a beautiful holiday in Indonesia with my family. I felt like I should have been extremely happy, everything was perfect. However, I spent most of the time reflecting on a friendship in my life that had just fallen apart and processing that experience."

Don’t be afraid to dwell on the past with Sophie Lilah’s latest single ‘Content But I Find’ (out now), and look to the future for her debut EP Fear/Instinct when it releases on Friday, August 16.
