GREG GOULD Brings The Star Power With Broadway Icon Shoshana Bean, Drag Superstar Kween Kong and Idol’s Kate DeAraugo For Powerful New Album

Prolific Australian singer-songwriter Greg Gould strikes again with his 13-track, emotion-packed, and politically passionate album 'Strings Attached'.

Showcasing some of the best original soul pop music of the year, 'Strings Attached' sees Greg collaborate with some of the industry’s biggest names, reinforcing his status as one of the country’s most powerful vocalists and sought after artists of his generation.

2024 Tony nominee and Broadway icon Shoshana Bean, Asia's Phoenix Morissette, Australian Idol winner Kate DeAraugo (her first pop release in nine years) and Drag Race legend Kween Kong all feature alongside Greg as his multi-octave voice celebrates themes of survival, pride, independence and resilience.

Behind the microphone, Greg has teamed up with the likes of legendary American songwriter Scott Alan (Cynthia Erivo, Pentatonix), ASTON (aespa, Jessica Mauboy), Tania Doko (Bachelor Girl), Andrew De Silva (CDB), and the iconic John Foreman, to write and produce a pop masterpiece that lingers long after the final note.

With Greg’s soulful sound and charged lyrics, it's no wonder he's found himself at the centre of success and acclaim. Starting his career off strong as the runner-up of Australia's Got Talent, he went on to release his chart-topping debut album, '1998', that featured a stack of amazingly talented artists covering the biggest hits of the titular year. He has toured the world performing on stages across Australia, Europe, the US and Asia.

Every song on this new original album features atmospheric live strings, masterfully directed by Ryan Youens - taking the album’s production to a new level and allowing Greg’s voice to soar. Filled with passion for life, 'Strings Attached' is the album for those who need to believe that brighter days are ahead.

Greg, himself a survivor of sexual abuse states “I’ve been through some of the darkest of darks and I've shared a lot of my battles and how I've overcome them in this music. When they say don't worry “it gets better” - I want people to believe them. I’m living proof that it truly does.”

With over a million streams already, the album opens with the debut single 'Marching On', a song written in response to homophobic bullying that Greg received online. It’s a powerful, empowering track that stirs the soul and empowers the listener to just keep moving forward.

The follow up singles, 'Just A Man', a powerful mental health anthem, 'Love It All Out' featuring multi-award winning superstar from the Philippines Morissette, 'Who Gave You Permission?' a heart-wrenching track written about Greg's experiences with sexual abuse, 'No More' with Kate DeAraugo, Adam Noviello and Kween Kong - inspired by the tragic deaths of Jesse Baird & Luke Davies and the new single 'Hurricane' have amassed hundreds of thousands of streams and give an insight into the incredible gifts of one of Australia’s biggest talents.

The rest of 2024 will be busy for Greg as he takes his new album on the road with a series of live shows with the Youens String Quartet as well as one of the featured artists in the Synthony Dance Anthems Orchestrated tour across Australia and New Zealand.
