SINGLE REVIEWS: Jack Kapson - Tangled in the Vines

LA based self produced musician Jack Kapson brings us his latest, home studio single 'Tangled in the Vines' a metaphorical look at the webs we weave with others.

'Tangled in the Vines' is a lo-fi dreamy tune with smooth, soulful vocals with hints of jazz and blues. It mixes unique, wah wah effects with twinkling melody giving off laid back sunshine vibes. It offers psychedelia infused with elements of pop and r'n'b to present a truly captivating, hypnotic sound. Its chilled out nature makes it the kind of song you can fully submerge and lose yourself in. Jack's gentle vox sits atop a mesmerising montage of intricate, interesting noises, groovy tones which are both upbeat and understated.

The lyrics present a take on the connections we make with others particularly within the boundaries of a relationship. Often feeling as though we 'Tangled in the Vines'. Hanging on to people like a security blanket, unable to break free.

Jack's voice is beautiful, a magnificent mix of tones. It's polished and perfectly fitting for the song's low key vibes. 'Tangled in the Vines' is a relaxed listen ideal for when you want a quiet moment of reflection.
