SINGLE REVIEW: Wolforna - Break You

Leeds lads Wolforna bring a louder than life, high adrenaline banger in the form of latest single 'Break You'.

Coming in on a chaotic rampage of noisy, distorted voices it pounds into a sound comparable to the Garage Rock energy of The Vines. There's beefy riffs, chanting, infectious post punk vocals, killer hooks, catchy chorus and full on pretentious attitude. Raucous, articulate, frantic 'Break You' bursts with epicness. The guitars screech with an element of distortion, the bass is gritty while the drums riot with hedonistic grandeur. It's a track that makes you take notice from the moment it arrives on your stereo.

Changing mid song 'Break You' embraces a more blues infused, proggy sound that brings the pace down with scuzzy guitars and dramatic vocals. Moving into a lower tone protest before building back into its anthemic stance.

'Break You' is noisy, melodic, raw and exhilarating. These lads are exciting, seamlessly blending genres to create something that's more than a little bit special. I love it, my single of the week!

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
