SINGLE REVIEW: Patch Kid - Double Knot

Brooklyn's Patch Kid deliver a shining ear pleaser in the form of their stunning new single 'Double Knot'.

The track introduces with haunting, chiming guitars similar to Manic Streets Preachers cover of 'Theme from MASH (Suicide is Painless)’. There's an air of gothic-ness before a burst of drums lead to a lull until eventually the laid back surfy pop punk vibes come in.

'Double Knot' is catchy from the first word, upbeat, bouncy with stunning harmonies. There's fun hooks, playful drums and understated riffs.

The lyrics examine the stages of post breakup and the work you have to do on yourself at the cost of time, energy and friends. The split friendship circles and feeling like a parolee in your own life before finally coming to the conclusion you're done with the hard times and just want to party.

'Double Knot' is an absolute earworm which you're going to be obsessed with instantly!
