SINGLE REVIEW: Too Close for Comfort - Smother

Coming in with a 'Wonder Years'-esque hook, 'Smother' bursts into a track that would have felt right at home on 'The Upsides.' It's an iconic brush of retro, nostalgia-laden pop-punk. Up-tempo, instantly memorable, and bursting with anthemic hooks, it’s both melodic and churning. It delivers a high-power, high-octane deluge of some of the best pop-punk I've heard in ages!

The vocals strike just the right blend of crisp, melodic, and raw. Meanwhile, the musical backdrop transports me right back to my mid-20s with its addictive fast pace, energetic tempos, and classic pop melodies.

It's an absolute belter, and I'm thrilled to have discovered Too Close for Comfort. I can already tell they're going to become a firm favourite just from listening to 'Smother'.

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
