SINGLE REVIEW: The Review - World's Fair

The Review's latest single 'World's Fair' is a cacophony of protesting, pulsating drums, gritty bass, and dirty guitars.

There are dark, infectious hooks and raw frantic energy topped with raucous punk-inspired vocals. Portions of fuzzy distortion battle against the pounding drone of chaos as the track blasts at every opportunity. Pensive darker moments erupt into mosh pit igniting grandeur. The Review balance hook-heavy riffs with a full-on slugfest of exciting carnage. They show what they have to offer as musicians alongside a pure punk attitude.

The only thing I found difficult with 'World's Fair' was deciphering the words which, as a lyrics kinda gal, I found frustrating. I picked up on the line "you're all so full of shit" so believe the track to be a politically charged rant. The Review clearly have something to say and I'd love the opportunity to fully appreciate their words.

Overall 'World's Fair' is a piercing punk anthem from a band I think have a lot of potential. It will be exciting to watch their journey.

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
