SINGLE REVIEW: Soraia - Every Motion

Philly rockers Soraia are a versatile band who sure know how to write a flawless rock song. Their latest single 'Every Motion' is no exception.

Singer ZouZou has one of the most captivating voices you'll hear. Multifaceted it can range from sweet and sensitive to gritty and powerful but never wavering from its stunning soulful tone. The kind of voice you hear and instantly think "wow".

'Every Motion' is a classic blues-tinged rock banger with a slight DIY garage feel. Brimming with catchy hooks, decadent solos, and thunderous drums. It's a passionate, addictive listen.

The lyrics examine how trauma passes from generation to generation with each one trying to protect their offspring from issues of the past. Delivered a story of a lone, instinctual wolf fighting to save her young. The line "you take the fall I take the blame" magnificently conveys the idea of cause and effect, that often younger generations suffer because of things they've had no control over.

Soraia are fresh and exciting. An enthralling rich sound that's adaptable, unique, and infectious. 'Every Motion' is soulful yet gritty. Soraia and undeniably on the way up!

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
