SINGLE REVIEW: Kingsfoil - Physical

Kingsfoil's second single, 'Physical', kicks off with an intriguing intro that feels straight out of a film score, as if the hero is chasing down the villain through a bustling crowd. This track showcases the band's flair for blending genres, offering a funky groove that's hard to resist.

The song's dancing keys and robust rhythm section set the stage for a high-energy experience. Kingsfoil seamlessly weave soul-shaking vocals with blood-fizzing rock riffs, all atop pulsating grooves infused with funk. This fusion of styles places them comfortably on the pop side of the rock genre, where smooth vocals and a brazen rockstar attitude take centre stage.

There's a certain Michael Jackson-esque quality to the vocals, laced with an Americana twang, giving the track a unique and memorable edge. While it might not typically be my go-to style, it's clear that Kingsfoil know their sound and are working hard to establish themselves as a formidable force in the funk/rock fusion genre.

'Physical' is a bold statement from Kingsfoil, showing their versatility and confidence in blending diverse musical elements. It's a vibrant, dynamic track that's sure to catch the ear of listeners and further solidify the band's place in the music scene.

Age: eternally 21 (I’m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours 🤪😜) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
