SINGLE REVIEW: Harker - Medicine

Brighton punks Harker are back with their politically-charged powerhouse new single 'Medicine'.

Frantic, ballsy, and on fire! 'Medicine' had me within the first few chords. It's confident and electrifying. Pulsating and melodic, it's a great mix of lo-fi indie and pounding punk. Hammering drums, fuzzed-out chords, and gloriously passionate vocals. It's an outstanding balance of ferocious energy and more tender defenselessness, defenseless to a crumbling society. A mosh pit erupting burst of high voltage noise. Intense and raw, it's buzzing with killer riffs, a fifthly bassline, and rippling hooks. The track might be short, but it's big on impact!

Drawing influence from the post-pandemic climate, 'Medicine' is a raucous protest anthem about pushing back against the ruling classes. The politicians who only serve to bring misery. It thunderously captures the feeling of a country drowning in the struggle of life. Fighting to survive and stay afloat.

Harker are influential musicians and meticulous songwriters providing a voice to the majority, sharing in struggles while creating bold as brass kick-ass tunes!
