SINGLE REVIEW: FRANKIE FLOWERS - I JUST WANT TO DISAPPEAR

Canada's FRANKIE FLOWERS turns her worst days into a song on her genre bending new single 'I JUST WANT TO DISAPPEAR'.

A nod to bad breakups and her time working long hours for minimum wage 'I JUST WANT TO DISAPPEAR' is a brainstorm of a negative headspace. Exploring how easy it is to let toxic thoughts and environment take over until they consume your mind and leave you questioning who you are.

With her voice as her main instrument FRANKIE FLOWERS sound is a mashup of bubblegrunge, new wave and psychedelic post punk. It's dark and mystifying but also catchy and accessible.

Booming guitars, fuzzy shoegaze-ish distortion, droning reverb and gritty bass play alongside Frankie's articulate, slightly eccentric and eclectic Sonic Youth comparable punk vocals. She oozes attitude and star quality. 'I JUST WANT TO DISAPPEAR' is the perfect balance of pretentiousness and vulnerability.
