SINGLE REVIEW: Bartender!! - Hey Bartender!

Noisy, chaotic, and dysfunctional Bartender!! deliver an anthem for an incoherent night out in the form of 'Hey Bartender!'. With world domination and a full globe tour on their minds, the band are here to turn heads and leave you wondering wtf!

Brimming with cheeky, laddish charm and playful lyrics 'Hey Bartender!' follows the antics of a night out and countless trips to the bar. Dollar bills waving, lines of shots, and inpatient punters.

It mixes more tuneful sounds with moments of disorganisation and experimentation. If I were to describe it I'd have to go with punk n roll. It's not structured enough to be rock n roll but too structured to be punk. It's a sound that doesn't quite belong anywhere making it all the more fun and addictive.

Scratchy riffs team with sometimes erratic, sometimes rhythmic drums topped with vocals that shape-shift from raucous to psychedelic; spoke to melodic. 'Hey Bartender!' may only be short in stature but there's so much going on you need to listen 3 or 4 times back to back to take everything in.

Going from a show to the bar to closing time. There's impatience, Tequila, and annoyance at being forced to go home at 2am cause "rules are rules" after all.

While I'm not sure 'Hey Bartender!' is for everyone due to its complete lack of consistency I absolutely adore it. It's quirky, original with humour and tongue-in-cheek charm.

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
