“Sometimes life is really arduous”, says lead vocalist Tito Quinones. “All I want is to hear is the voice of the one person that gave me strength, but unfortunately they are gone. I know that a kind word from them could fortify me and I cherish their memory as a beacon that hopefully guides me out of the storm. However, all I have is a saved voice mail and photo on my phone. So sometimes I just stare at my phone while I sit in tearful despair. The set location was chosen because it the resembled construction of a home or house, which in the song refers to a place of yearning.” Guitarist Justin Adams adds, “We always try to have as many friends and family as possible around while shooting, so that they can experience how the song’s visual genesis illustrates the energy and creativity it embodies. The day was long but very productive, and we closed the set with a good old Southern BBQ for everyone!” Additionally, bassist Zach San Pietro says “there was a moment where Tito was singing with all his intensity and energy during the last chorus. While I was watching, Justin explained to me what the song was about. Prior to the video shoot, I assumed I knew the song’s meaning, but I only had a shallow understanding of Voice On the Phone. While watching his performance the meaning began to unfold before my eyes!
