Rusty Reid releases album “Bayou Line (Songs from Houston)”

Rusty Reid is an American indie-folk-pop-country-rock singer-songwriter, originally from Texas, now based in the Pacific Northwest. His third album, "Bayou Line” is a liberation of 17 of Rusty's best songs from wobbly old reel-to-reel demos and worktapes, and a chance for them to fly with new wings. Rusty Reid is back with his third album, a collection of old Houston songs, newly re-recorded with a stable of world-class players. “Bayou Line” is an eclectic mix of countryrock and more pop influenced songs, showcasing Rusty’s emergence as a songwriter.

Focus track: "Look Out Louisiana" (swamp country romp), “Words Don’t Come Easy” (poppy lost-love), "Rio Frio" (country sad), "Corner of My Mind" (philosophical), "Our Love's With You" (love song), "Oh Well" (rock).

While ‘Our Love’s With You’ is a little too romanticised for my taste, it’s undeniably beautiful. I like the song’s soft melodic nature. It’s a delightfully warming track. It gives me Little House of the Prairie vibes. Serene and picturesque. Rusty’s vocals are lovely, really homely, and comforting.
