Asmodean to release album “By a Thread” on 29 September 2023

Asmodean is a progressive hard rock band formed in England, now based in Norway.

Ready to present their debut album By a Thread consisting of a musical journey of 11 tracks. With progressive beasts such as “Sanguine” and “Jack of the Shadows” to the dance-able anthemic “Zooethics” and “Below the Line” with the ear balming interlude “Mary Go Round” this journey is worth a listen through.

The album consists of curated riffs, experimental arrangements and contemplated lyrics. Summed up as hard-hitting rock with big choruses and an ambitious sound. This release shows where Asmodean has come, and hints at where they’re going.

With roots back to Black Sabbath, they claim their place somewhere between Mastodon and Ghost. The music dips into the style of bands like Opeth and Avenged Sevenfold, while the guitars tap into elements from Van Halen and Children of Bodom.

Asmodean represents the ambition of musical perfection, challenging both themselves and the listener while having a good time, while also digging into the dark sides of humanity and the bittersweet sensation of existence.

Recorded and mixed in Stjørdal by the bands bassist Ruben Krogstad, written, produced and played as a band. Mastered by Sivert Hagtvedt. Artworks by Mirkow Gastow.
