Manchester's Double-Think Return With Brand New Single 'Down and Out in Paris'

Spanning an eclectic 60s pop sensibility and raw distinctly grunge elements, four-piece Doublethink are back with a brand new single. Though they hail from the sunny streets of Manchester, the quartet eschew the city’s usual influence in favour of an altogether more literary approach.

While ‘Doublethink’ is a reference to the Orwell novel ‘1984’ it was Orwell’s gritty Parisian tale of the same name which inspired and shaped the themes and title of the song. Four and a half minutes of alternative tinged pop-rock, ‘Down and Out In Paris’ draws its influence from 70s rock-pop groups like The Eagles and Wings.

The single is yet another step forward in the monochrome band’s bid to rise to the top. Following their previous single ‘Autumn’ it’s clear this Manchester four piece has lofty ambitions and the tracks to back them up.

Double-Think are:

Alfie Durkin - Lead Guitarist and Songwriter

Eddie James - Bass Guitarist and Songwriter

Morgan Frith Jones - Rhythm Guitarist and Songwriter

Matt Court - Drummer
