Little Thief reveal reflective new single ‘On The Line’ and announce UK tour

Following up on the August release of their latest single ‘Geronimo’, Bristol-based rock outfit Little Thief return with their new single ‘On The Line’ released today, September 29th 2023.

Formed in 2015 by long-time collaborators Charlie Fitzgerald and Rhii Williams, Little Thief have created their own, unmistakable brand of raw, gritty and soulful alternative rock.  They've previously played live sets at Glastonbury, Shambala and Liverpool Sound City Festivals, and the 2021 release of their debut album 'Under The Patio', recorded with Stew Jackson (Massive Attack), saw them receiving support from the likes of Far Out Magazine, RTE, Steve Lamacq (BBC 6), BBC Introducing, XS Manchester and Amazing Radio.

2022 saw the announcement of Fitzgerald’s and Williams’ engagement, swiftly followed by a UK-wide tour and in true Little Thief fashion, book ended by a hometown headline show-turned engagement party. 2023 sees an action packed summer of festivals including Isle of Wight, Kendal Calling and Shambala with a UK tour following later this year.

Though drawing comparisons to the likes of The Black Keys and The Kills, Little Thief eludes comparison to anyone else. Their new single On The Line, recorded with Marc Macnab-Jack and Russell Marsden (Band of Skulls) at Mizpah Studios in Bath, blends high-octane guitars, hard-hitting drums and potent lyrical introspection to highlight the incredible highs and the bitter lows of life in a touring band.

Discussing the single, vocalist and lyricist Charlie Fitzgerald states: “‘On The Line’ was one of our favourite tunes to come out of a two month writing stint we did on a farm in Wales with our good friend James Graham on keys. The song is reflective of fast paced fun-filled city life. Working, weekends, doing shows, burning the candle at both ends and keeping up with everything.  There are times when being in a band is just mental; you’re juggling so many things but kind of keep on going. Music is incredibly addictive to make and I think being a part of it can bring you the most incredible highs and also make you feel fucking terrible.  There is a resilience and a true love in people that keep them invested and dedicating their lives to it. I’ve seen it more and more as I’ve got a bit older and I have nothing but admiration and respect for the people that stick with what they love.”

Taking the single live, the band have announced a UK run of dates kicking off on October 9th.
