Introducing Hip-Hop Rock Crossover Artist New Lewi
Jamaican-born, Brooklyn-raised rapper blends alternative rock and hip hop in style reminiscent of Gym Class Heroes
New Lewi is a seasoned MC who has worked and performed with a wide variety of artists, most recently collaborating with a punk rock band called The Dissidents in upstate New York. During The Dissidents’ European tour, New Lewi performed in Hungary, Romania and Slovakia, opening for popular Hungarians bands such as Tankcsapda and Alvin és a Mókusok. The momentum then continued with shows in New York City, Poughkeepsie and Toronto before a major illness sidelined the band’s main singer.
Subsequently, New Lewi made the decision to spend 2023 further developing his own style and planning and recording new songs for his own project. New Lewi’s EP, “Don’t Let Them Foolya”, is currently available and will be promoted throughout 2024, along with several new releases. The single, “Move”, from the EP is a motivational song that inspires people to take responsibility and make a change for the better.

On February 2, 2024, New Lewi will release the first of his new singles, “He’s GloryUs”, featuring Jamal “Gravy” Woolard, who’s well known for playing the role of the late rapper, The Notorious B.I.G. in the movie, ‘Notorious.” The song has been on internet radio rotation via Radio Airplay and will continue to build momentum leading up to the official release.
