The album is Synthwave meets Alternative Rock fusion, mixing the best of both worlds. Featuring singles such as "Delirious" and "Illumination" both of which combine classic rock with the Future Rock writing style and vocals ofThe Anix.FM-84frontman, Ollie Wride, also features on the album with the fervent track "Soul Survivor." Afterglow covers the full gamut, from Classic Rock to Electro Pop, Alternative to Synthwave with a bit of Post Punk and Goth sprinkled in between. With his ability to blend synthesizers, drums, guitars, and the vocal contributions of a wide variety of contributors from multiple genres Afterglow is another shining example of a producer still at the top of his game.

Releasing with the album is "Maria Magdalena" a synthwave cover of the original by German singer Sandra for her debut studio album, The Long Play, and released in 1985. King Protea's sultry vocals grace this Indie Pop version of the hit single, featuring hypnotic rhythms and an overall yearning soundscape.

The Fury Weekendproject was created when Belarus-based Ars Nikonov chose to combine his love of classic rock, electronic music, and ‘80s culture into a forward-thinking music venture. The result is a dystopian synthwave sound that blends bright synth melodies and gritty guitar work into a singular music vision of the future.

The uniqueness of Fury Weekendshould come as no surprise given the artist’s background, which involves ambitious projects ranging from industrial to post-rock. Diversant: 13, Cold in May, Martian Love, Seanine, and Tribal A.D. are some of the many names that fill Ars’ creative resume, and each of those has given the creator the experience and tools needed to make an impact with his retro-futuristic synthwave project.

King Proteais a rising synthpop artist. She has joined forces with synthwave giants such asScandroidandFury Weekendto establish her presence, and as fans fall in love with her sound, she is getting ready to release original music at the top of 2023. You may know her voice from songs like “Find You” and “In My Head,” but who is she really? She is the woman in menswear and heels on the cover of the magazine. She is the balance between mystery and authenticity, between power and vulnerability. She is King Protea.
