RISING IRISH GROOVE METAL CREW, FOLLOWING THE SIGNS RELEASE ‘ESCAPE’ OFFICIAL VIDEO/SINGLE. NEW ALBUM ‘CONFLICTIONS’ OUT NOW!

Rising Cork groove metallers, Following The Signs have released an official video for their latest single, 'Escape', which comes from their excellent new debut LP, ‘Conflictions'.

Watch the official new video for 'Escape' HERE.

Featuring a collection of twelve blistering contemporary Metal tracks, 'Conflictions' is a furious debut, loaded with skyscraper melodies and deep, dark breakdowns, reminding us all, yet again, the level of quality that exists in the Irish Metal scene today.

With previous singles 'This Day is Mine' and 'Exposed' having made a respectful impact with heavy music fans and critics alike, their new single 'Escape' continues to reinforce the bands ability to find a perfect equilibrium between melody, and face-melting heaviness.

Speaking of the new single, the band commented:
"With 'Escape', we wanted to show a very nice pre-chorus and chorus that were drafted in the first days of the album writing. The whole song is built around these two that the whole band is really proud to show you. The song wasn’t supposed to be a single but Josh from JSR Studio did an amazing job with the song that led us to pick ‘Escape' as one of the main songs of the album."

Having already featured in Metal Hammer Germany, and both previous singles getting UK and Irish premieres ahead of release, the interest in Following the Signs is gathering momentum, as fans are being drawn to the bands ability to fuse elements of old and new styles of Metal, with ease and authenticity.

Every member of the band has different influences, which brings a lot of richness to our sound. Dan's vocal influences are mainly Whitechapel, Linkin Park, and Motionless in White. Regarding the guitars, Noel’s and Vinny’s main influences are Slipknot, Deftones, Sepultura, and Lamb of God.
Finally, Rory, who plays finger style bass, it’s more Sepultura, Black Sabbath and Korn. All these influences offer a mix to suit the band, and are the origin of very different vibes within the album.
"From start to finish we aimed to catch people's attention right off the bat, whether it was the first notes played on the guitars, or the velocity of the vocals accompanying. We definitely aimed for a darker theme lyrically, talking across a range of emotions and thoughts people could really get behind while the instruments set the vibe for everything to fall into place.
Today, Following the Signs can be characterised as Groovy Metalcore, with melodic and intense riffs."
