EP REVIEW: LoudFoxCult - Cult Classics

Michigan's LoudFoxCult present their highly anticipated "Cult Classics" EP. The record represents a step-up in quality and a more polished, produced sound compared to their previous DIY offerings.

The EP boasts confident, nonchalant, surf infused vibes with catchy hooks and sparkling guitars at every turn.

Laid back vocals channel themes of angst, self loathing and confusion wrapped in an up-tempo, get up and dance stance. Epic riffs often show hints of proggy experimentation.

Standout tracks are EP opener 'Losing Focus' with its confident sound and high octane, glittering guitars and closing track 'U Wonder' which infuses classic jangly indie with the eerie distortion of grunge.

The whole EP is dynamic, mixing indie with garage rock, pop punk and elements of progression. The overall sound is infectious with a nice balance of pristine production and fuzz to give an immaculate, addictive noise.

Amy

I'm Amy a Norfolk girl, currently residing at the seaside.

Age: eternally 21 (Iā€™m really Peter Pan!).

By day I'm a Leaks, Condensation, Damp and Mould Resident Liaison Officer and by night I'm CRB's admin bitch, reviewer extraordinaire, point and hope for the best photographer, paperclip monitor and expert at breaking anything technical then expecting Scott to fix it!

I'm into all kinds of music the more obscure the better (my music taste is definitely better than yours šŸ¤ŖšŸ˜œ) with my fave band being The Wonder Years.

I'm an Ipswich Town fan and have an unhealthy obsession with hedgehogs!
