Coastal Fire Dept. to release single ‘Regret (Vincent vs The Big Boss Mix)’ on June 25th via L'islet Records

We did not see this coming!  We had never even thought about it!  This was not planned, but the stars aligned to bring together two music genres at different ends of the sonic spectrum! 

Last year Coastal Fire Dept. released ‘Regret’ a post-grunge/altrock track looking back to a night out many years ago. After seeing CFD at a small UK festival, UK electronic music producer The Big Boss was overwhelmed by the raw sound & immediately asked if he could remix ‘Regret’! 

Whilst the original ‘Regret’ is influenced by Boston’s indie rock legends Pixies, The Big Boss wanted to throw some Underworld & Fatboy Slim vibes in the mix.  After working on it solidly for 72 hours it was ready!

Does electronic beats & grunge go together?  You be the judge! We must warn you this is a little different for us as a label and to be honest we don’t have many electronic music contacts, so please feel free to pass this on to contacts or colleagues that would appreciate this unexpected mash up!
