Birmingham’s Angry Itch share sophomore Self-Titled album - out now digitally, physical release 01/03

8 years of blood, sweat and tears. 8 years of falling in and out and back in love with riffs and lyrics. 8 years of tinkering until we were happy with every single note of every single song.

A harsher, more focused take on what the band have always tried to convey, “Angry Itch” by Angry Itch is a testament to not only the band’s determination but also their durability.

From the first screams of the Gammon Riots to the lilting, tongue-in-cheek gallop of Happy, and all the glorious chaos in between, “Angry Itch” is not only a step up for the band but also a considerable step forward.

Bio:

Three-piece grunge punk animals hailing from Birmingham, Angry Itch are a leviathan of aggression, angst and just the right amount of self-depreciation. Brough together through a love of loud, brash music, these three lovely gentlemen enjoy drinking, shouting and playing bloody fast.

They’ve become disillusioned with life and this feeling is reflected in their music which captures their frustrations.

Heavily influenced by the grunge aesthetic of the 90s and surrounded by the DIY punk scene, it has shaped their perspective and driven them to make music that is a raw and authentic expression of their experiences.

Band members:
John – Guitar/Vocals
Ric – Bass/Vocals
Luke – Drums/Vocals

Genre:
Alternative / Punk

Location:
Birmingham, UK

Releases:
Champanzee Album (Aug 2015)
Prickstarter ‘EP’ (Dec 2017)
Self Titled Album (Dec 2023)

Throughout 2023, we released a selection of tracks from the new album, culminating with the album release weekender in mid November with Dirtbox Disco, Wonk Unit and a packed out performance at Morecambe Punk Festival.

Streaming would’ve been the easy option and although we dipped our toe in by teasing some tracks. we know our fans wanted a physical copy, so we’ve released the album on compact disc. By doing so, this has allowed us to recoup some of the outlay on the album.

The band are pleased to announce that the self titled album will be available via all good digital music channels from 1st March 2024.
