After a hiatus in 2020, Baltimore's alt-rock powerhouse Have Mercy made a triumphant return with their comeback album, "NUMB," released in December 2023 via Rude Records. The LP marked a significant milestone in their journey, celebrating themes of perseverance, sobriety, newfound love, and the pursuit of a healthier lifestyle, firmly establishing their place in the alt-rock landscape.

Self-produced and largely crafted in Brian Swindle’s basement, the album captured the essence of their early sound.

Fast forward to now, as Have Mercy gears up for the September 6th release of 'Still Numb,' a deluxe version of the album, that features the new single "Dead Letter," plus two acoustic renditions of tracks ("Numb", "Alive") that were part of the original release.

Lead vocalist/guitarist/songwriter Brian Swindle says, “Dead Letter is a song about the past and what the impact would be if you were able to change it. Would it make a difference or would the pieces just fall in the same places?”

Of the new, expanded edition of the album, Swindle explains, “Still Numb was our chance to expand on this era of Have Mercy and our LP Numb. We were able to re-imagine some of the songs and add a new tune. I think Dead Letter really sonically summarizes the new sound of HM.

He adds, "I think we’re in a very good place. We’re more hands-on with our art than we’ve ever been. That’s a result of having done it for so long and knowing what it’s like to lose track of who you are as people and artists.”

Swindle reflects, “This record was all about us three guys making music because we love it. It’s a challenge to create something special, and it feels very much like our debut album, 'The Earth Pushed Back.'”

Have Mercy will be touring the UK this fall in support of 'Still Numb.' See dates below.
