Attendant announce debut album 'State of Disarray'

London based alt rockers Attendant are today proud to announce their forthcoming debut album ‘State of Disarray’ (out Friday 21st June 2024). Recorded with producer Alex Loring (Big Spring, Palm Reader, Tropic Gold) ‘State of Disarray’ demonstrates Attendant as the ever infectious genre-bending champions and is available to pre-save via the link HERE.
“State of Disarray is a rock soap opera set in a collapsing society. It begins with an invitation into the dysfunctional community and ends in nuclear Armageddon”, mentions Attendant vocalist Andy Walker. “Each song is a subplot, featuring a cast of mostly unpleasant people. The lyrics lampoon these characters in protest at the societal ills they represent.”
The news of Attendant’s upcoming debut album comes with the arrival of their new single ‘Patriot Parade’. A bass-driven track that continues to build while mashing elements of punk, alternative rock and brit-pop together.
“We started out in 2020 as kind of a grunge band, but Patriot Parade sees us breaking out of genre labels and generally taking ourselves less seriously. We’re making the kind of music we want to make. It’s much more fun that way”, explains Walker.

No musical influence is too obscure for London-based Attendant. The band's sound is rooted in alternative rock, but songwriter Andy Walker draws inspiration from commercial pop, film scores, video game soundtracks, TV adverts — anything that plants the seed of a hook. The formula combines energy and melody with incisive lyrical wit, weaving satirical tales around society's ills.
The band’s previous singles have received airplay from Daniel P Carter, Alyx Holcombe, and Nels Hylton on BBC Radio 1 and Alex Baker of Kerrang! Radio Fresh Blood who describe the band as a “wonderful marriage of sound.” Attendants short but impressive journey so far has been expanded by the support of editorial playlists curated by streaming platforms like Spotify, Apple, Amazon, Tidal, and YouTube. Their tracks have been placed on Spotify’s very own ‘All New Rock’, ‘Shockwave’, ‘Top Of The Rock’ and ‘Alternative Noise’.
