“Alien Chicks are determined to unseat you at every turn. It’s total strangeness, but you suspect that’s exactly the way Alien Chicks want it” NME

“Alien Chicks have cemented themselves as an essential name on London’s gig circuit” DIY

“The trio are proving that in a time of carefully curated personas, there’s still room for a bit of glorious, unfiltered mayhem” Dork

“Their thunderous, flash-in-the-pan bouts of intensity” Clash

London post-punk specialists Alien Chicks share third EP reveal ‘Mr Muscle’, out today (April 1st), ahead of their second EP ‘Forbidden Fruit’ (pre-order here), set for release May 9th via Hideous Mink Records (Opus Kink) & SO Recordings (Enter Shikari, Deadletter, Big Special).

Continuing their thrilling momentum following the release of lead singles ‘Donkeyhead’ and ‘Babe’ earlier this year, ‘Mr Muscle’ further cements their position as one of the leading figures in the emerging punk landscape. Armed with the biting vocals and sharp guitar work of Josef Lindsay, the pulsating basslines of Stefan Parker-Steele, and the explosive drumming of Martha Daniels, the group’s raw and innovative soundscapes combine to perfection on their newest release.

Whether delivering rapid-fire rap verses, intricate jazz-inspired bass riffs, or thunderous punk rhythms, Alien Chicks continue to push boundaries and defy expectations. Their intoxicating live show has already seen them sell-out multiple London headliners over the last few years including the iconic Moth Club last summer, as well as sharing stages alongside the likes of English Teacher, Fat Dog, Lambrini Girls, and Warmduscher to name a few.

Praise across the media landscape has since followed from The Independent, NME, DIY, Dork, Clash, CMU and Rough Trade, whilst plaudits have also circulated across the BBC Radio 1 (Jack Saunders, Arielle Free, Amy Lamé), BBC 6 Music (Steve Lamacq, Tom Robinson) and Radio X (John Kennedy) airwaves. Having kicked 2025 off in style with IVW appearances and a support tour with Pom Poko, they are about to support Lambrini Girls on their UK tour and play their own European shows, before their biggest London headliner yet at Oslo, Hackney on May 7th.

Discussing the upcoming single, the band stated: "’Mr Muscle’ is a high energy crowd favourite characteristic of our sound in that it is uncategorisable, uncountable, unplaylistable and erratic. The slapstick chorus is about our favourite cleaning products that we would use if we ever cleaned, but there are some more serious themes in the verses such as the mundanity of life and capitalism-induced boredom and nihilism. We are especially proud of the time signature changes in the chorus, and the lyrics in the outro ‘A dog leads his old man back down to the saloon; Craving simple lives that need more purpose is the catch 22; Stress or depress? The inexorable T-junction’ are some of Josef’s favourites he’s ever written. But you'll never hear them because he screams so quickly."

Alien Chicks’ ‘Mr Muscle’ is out now via Hideous Mink Records and SO Recordings and available on all digital platforms.

Alien Chicks is Josef (guitar, vocals), Stefan (bass, backing vocals), Martha (drums, backing vocals)
