Alchemize release 'Upside Down' on Year Of The Rat Records

Alchemize is a 4 piece R&B/metal fusion band from Manchester with 3 vocalists. The band have released just two tracks to date and have already landed official Spotify, Apple Music, and TIDAL playlisting, coverage with BBC Radio 1, RTE2XM, House Of Freaks and played sold out headline shows as well as sharing stages with Defects and Black Coast. The band will release new single ‘Upside Down’ on the 30th August 2024 and recently announced signing to UK label Year Of The Rat Records (Lastelle, SAVE US, Kite Thief) - With plenty of new music to come the band will quickly establish themselves in the UK metal circuit.

Adam Kenyon - “We wanted to capture the uncertainty of starting over, the anxiety, low self-esteem, and the feeling of being judged by the person you've left behind. "Upside Down" is about leaving a toxic situation/relationship.

The concept arose from moving on and how you need to stay under the radar, cut ties, and focus on self-care. You'll noticed that as the song progresses, there's a shift towards a more positive outlook, finding yourself again, and reigniting old passions. The music mirrors these emotions, moving from quiet and vulnerable piano sections to loud, angry riffs, and ending with a hopeful and passionate melody. The lyrics and music together tell a powerful story of life's ups and downs.”
