Yorkshire Alt Rockers The Pretty Ugly Drop New Single 'Elvis'

Pre-Save

Though once being described as looking “like they met at a bus stop”, Yorkshire trio The Pretty Ugly are far from your pedestrian alt-rock band. Taking their influence from across the decades, the three-piece combine ‘80s pop sensibilities with a rich and timeless musicality that sets the band head and shoulders above their contemporaries.

Indeed, their forthcoming release, ‘Elvis’, is five-minutes of upbeat and optimistic indie-pop that bridges the gap between folk, pop and alternative effortlessly. A soaring statement of intent that showcases the rich veins of influence that The Pretty Ugly mine, their sound is both instantly familiar, yet still utterly beguiling.

Of course, with plenty more in the pipeline over the coming months, this is just your first taste of a trio who clearly have plenty more to showcase; their idiosyncratic cocktail of genre defying alt rock serving as a statement of intent as much as it serves to set them apart from the masses.

Emotional, charming and utterly irresistible, expect to see much more from The Pretty Ugly over the next few months.

The Pretty Ugly are:

James Swift - Lead Vocals and Rhythm Guitar

Dan Cottam - Lead Guitar and Keys

Joe Cottam - Drums
