When it comes to celebrating the impending holidays, it’s all hands on deck for Yächtley Crëw. To that end, the seven-piece good-time SoCal band have announced the release of their Christmas themedSeas and GreetingsEP, which is out 13th December via Earache Records and is available to pre-order now atearache.com/yachtleycrew.
To coincide with the announcement the band have released their version of ‘It’s Christmas Time’, a rollicking high spirited cover of the Status Quo Christmas singalong.
Seas and Greetings places something under the listening tree for everyone this Christmas and comprises of five handpicked songs — four covers, and one original, which Yächtley Crëw collectively feel best represent the good tidings of comfort and joy their music has consistently brought to Yacht Rock fans across the globe (snow-covered, or otherwise).
Or, as Yächtley Crëw put it themselves, “When we set out to record our Christmas EP Seas and Greetings, we wanted to capture the excitement and joy that the holidays bring to us. The album is a culmination of all of that, and we are excited to share it during one of our most favourite seasons.”
Produced and mixed by Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Steven Tyler, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day) and mastered by Ted Jensen (Eagles, Norah Jones, Evanescence, Alice In Chains, James Taylor) at Sterling Sound New England, Seas and Greetings shares the best of what Yächtley Crëw have to offer, a not-so-silent night in, and not-so-silent night out.
The new EP will be available in several formats including CD digipak and two holiday-themed colour vinyl edition options — white and green – as well streaming across all major digital platforms. The cover is also a nod to SoCal legends The Beach Boys and their 1964 Christmas album. Pre-order Seas and Greetings here.
Having taken the US by stormy seas, Yächtley Crëw are in their third year of residency at The Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas and will have played over 100 shows this year selling over 150,000 tickets in total. They released their first EP Seas the Day in 2023 and are currently on their Full Steam Ahead US tour through the remainder of 2024 and collectively they felt like there could be no better time to celebrate the true meaning of the holidays than in the here and now.
“To us, the holidays are a reminder of the importance of generosity, togetherness, and joy,” the band points out. “It’s a time to set aside our differences and be reminded of our shared humanity — and, of course, to be with our family and friends.”
From the eggnog-chugging and mistletoe-kissing wake-up call of the EP’s opening track and lead single ‘It’s Christmas Time’ to the clear-eyed navigational promise of the band’s original track ‘Home for Christmas’, from the fond jingle-bell wishes of ‘Happy Christmas (War Is Over)’ to the hopeful, plaintive pleadings of ‘Please Come Home for Christmas’, and then closing with the universally shared feeling of ‘I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday’, Yächtley Crëw have fully captured the essence of the season with Seas and Greetings.
Furthermore, given all the cool waves and hot grooves that permeate Seas and Greetings, the nautical-suited and captain’s-hat-clad Yächtley Crëw — a.k.a. ‘The Titans of Soft Rock’, consisting of lead vocalist Phillip Daniel (Philly Ocean), drummer Rob Jones (Sailor Hawkins), bassist Chaz Ruiz (Baba Buoy), guitarist Thomas Gardner Jr. (Tommy Buoy), backing vocalist Curt Clendenin (Stoney Shores), saxophone/flutist Paul Pate (Pauly Shores), and keyboardist Matt Grossman (Matthew McDonald) — readily admit that they “all celebrate the holidays together, as we are one big family — and we have a lot of fun, too!”
Truly, Yächtley Crëw have set out to touch the hearts of one and all with Seas and Greetings, so feel free to join in with a hale and hearty “Yo Ho Ho Ho!” and enjoy this EP’s five great holiday songs with friends and family alike.

BIO
Yächtley Crëw are a seven-piece SoCal band who burst onto the club scene in 2017, selling out countless local venues before starting a nationwide Yacht Rock craze and being noticed by the legendary Jimmy Buffett, who signed them to his own Mailboat Records label.
The band’s 2003-released Seas the Day EP include fan favourites such as Boz Scaggs’ ‘Lido Shuffle’, Ace’s’“How Long’, Robbie Dupree’s ‘Steal Away’, the Bee Gees’ ‘How Deep Is Your Love’, and all-time Yacht Rock pioneer Christopher Cross’ ‘Ride Like the Wind’. Other songs in the band’s exhilarating live sets include Toto’s’“Africa’, Looking Glass’ ‘Brandy’, and Rupert Holmes’ ‘Escape (The Piña Colada Song)’. Seas the Day was produced and mixed by Grammy Award-winning Chris Lord-Alge (Stevie Nicks, Keith Urban, Bruce Springsteen, Green Day), and features the band’s first original song ‘Sex on the Beach’, accompanied by a video with a guest appearance by Access Hollywood and iHeart Radio host, Mario Lopez. The video was directed by Myles Erfurth (Dead Sara, Ice Nine Kills, Twiztid). Yächtley Crëw is managed by longtime industry icon Andy Gould (Rob Zombie, Pantera, Lionel Richie, Guns N’ Roses), and they are represented by Jim Lenz at TKO.
For the uninitiated, Yacht Rock encapsulates the revival of soft rock and Top 40 hits from the late ’70s to the early ‘80s — and it has become an undisputed nationwide phenomenon, inspiring fans to dress the part and sing along. Yächtley Crëw have appeared on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, helped ring in the New Year on KLAS and KTLA’s ‘Las Vegas Countdown to 2023’ (the exclusive, Emmy-winning special syndicated program that reached more than 16.5 million U.S. TV households), performed on countless morning television and radio shows throughout the country, been featured on Fox News nationally, and performed on SiriusXM’s Yacht Rock Radio ‘Yacht Rock 311’ show as the first ever Yacht Rock band to perform live at the satellite radio studios. They have also recently recorded a new song by Diane Warren, and have performed at a cadre of charity and special events throughout the years including the Mario Lopez Golf Classic Tournament in support of the Providence Saint Joseph Medical Center.
Yächtley Crëw are proud to fly the flag of Yacht Rock for each and every generation that loves good fun and good-time music, and they very much look forward to sharing new and classic Yacht Rock tunes alike to help one and all navigate the as-yet-uncharted waters of 2025, and beyond.
