With sultry basslines, bluesy hooks, driving drum beats, and powerful, emotive vocals - SEX ON TV share new single 'LOVE BLUES'
I’m excited to see where Sex on TV goes next! It’s a sound bands such as Black Rebel Motorcycle would be proud of! - Something Something Reviews
SEX ON TV are a four piece Scottish alt-indie rock band formed in late 2019 consisting of Damien Parrish on guitars/vocals, Craig Reid on bass, Craig Dyce on guitar and Nick Hernandez on drums.
Finally getting their mojo back after Covid slammed on the brakes for them, they’ve since picked themselves up and dusted themselves down and burst back on the scene with their bass driven flow, heavy drums, epic solos and catchy melodies sprinkled with a good old fashioned bit of rock n roll.
Following on from previous releases of ‘Lightning Bolt’, ‘The Spectacular Tales Of A Glitter Circus’ and ‘Bring The Damage’ in 2022 and the single ‘Time’ and debut EP release of ‘The Joy Of Disorder’ in 2023, SEX ON TV are now back with their first offering of 2024, the anthemic, belting melody of ‘Love Blues’.
‘Love Blues’ is positively oozing with sultry fuzzing guitars and bluesy hooks, coupled with epic lead guitar, stadium worthy solos and crashing, pounding drums. The atmospheric, mesmerising vocals throughout really strike you, they are so powerful and when they hit that chorus crescendo - wow, mind blowing stuff right there.
Frontman of the band and writer of ‘Love Blues’ Damien Parrish has said of the track:-
“Love Blues was written not long after a break- up and the thought process behind it is how some people always seem to be unlucky in love, but putting a bit of a spin on that by taking those lyrics and adding them to our now signature sound of thumping bass lines with drum driven beats and uplifting guitar solos”.
‘Love Blues’ was written by Damien Parrish with the music being collectively arranged by the band. The track was recorded at Loopmaniac and was produced and mixed by Liam Saunders.
