Fresh from the release of Villagers’ beautiful sixth album That Golden Time, Conor O’Brien is pleased to share a brand new single “Mountain out of a Molehill” – with its cinematic strings, cascading keys and Conor’s mellifluous tones, it’s a glorious addition to the Villagers canon.

Watch the video - produced by Conor O’Brien & Brendan Corcoran - for “Mountain out of a Molehill” here.

Conor O’Brien says of the track: “I see it as a kind of psychodrama; a song to quell that relentless attention-seeker within. It’s just some self-administered advice to me and my undulating ego.”

O’Brien also recently released Passing a Message on Faber Music - a full-colour hardback of the lyrics of over 80 songs from the Villagers songbook with Conor's drawings, photographs and previously unseen notebook lyric drafts. Buy standard and deluxe versions here.

To celebrate the release of Passing a Message: The Lyrics and Artwork of Conor J. O'Brien, Domino has repressed the Villagers' back catalogue with a new range of coloured vinyl. Buy here.

Villagers will be heading out on tour in November with support from labelmate Owen Pallett on the UK and Irish dates.

“Mountain out of a Molehill” is available to pre-order as an AA single, the 7” will be out on December 6th with second song “A Matter of Taste”. Pre-order here.
