Vienna Release Self-Defining Debut EP “Sleep Fighter II”

Fresh off the heels of the success of their previous single “Somewhere Between Here and Gone,” Vienna are following the

positive momentum and solidifying themselves as mainstays in the UK emo scene with their powerful, dynamic, and innovative

debut EP “Sleep Fighter II.”

The EP features brand new song “BMO Drive”, which poses as the EP’s opening track. The band's intentions become clear

immediately, with intense driving instrumentation and powerful vocals whilst keeping up their classic humorous spark, this track

is sure to become a fan favourite. The rest of the EP features some classic previous singles from the band such as “Stare into the

Sky” and “Ratatouille! I Hardly Know Her...”. Fans will instantly be familiar with poignant lyrical themes and dynamic, intense

soundscapes blurring the line between midwest emo and post-hardcore, especially in the closing track “Somewhere Between

Here and Gone.”

Speaking on their debut EP Vienna stated-

“We like to treat this EP as a collection and celebration of our first years as a band; it really encapsulates the DIY style and fun

mindset we had at the time. All of the songs have a certain naivety, spirit and sense of growth that we found really important in

showing off, and we hope people can also share when they listen.”

With this era of the band seemingly coming to a close, it leaves the 4 piece in a clear position for future growth. 2025 is already

looking busy for Vienna, with plenty of nation-wide gigs already being lined up and an ever growing presence within the emo

scene. With the band also revealing their recent return to the studio, new music and a new sound could be on the way sooner

than you think.
