Mass Punishment is a 4 piece Metalcore/Extreme Metal band based out of New Jersey music designed to inform as well as hit as hard as the facts and events the songs are written about. Current events on a social, political, environmental, and economic scale. Of government corruption and depopulation with a population facing death by design.
A unique fusion of influences from iconic bands like Pantera, Slayer, Fear Factory, Megadeth, Anthrax, Iron Maiden, Korn, Misery Signals, Emmure, Slipknot, Rush, and Soulfly, Mass Punishment delivers a sound that is both powerful and evocative.
Having shared the stage with world-renowned acts such as Emmure, Acacia Strain, Upon A Burning Body, Texas In July, Unearth, Mucky Pup, Decapitation, Agnostic Front, Motionless In White, and GWAR, Mass Punishment has solidified its presence in the metal realm.
The name Mass Punishment itself carries a profound meaning—a form of retaliation where a punished group may have no direct association with the actions they are penalized for. Reflecting on the military term, guitarist/founder Chris Milos emphasizes unity: "If one of us fails, we all fail. If one of us is to be punished, we all get punished."
The genesis of Mass Punishment's concept traces back to Chris Milos's firsthand experience of the horrors of war during Operation Iraqi Freedom. This message resonates loudly on their debut album, "Proving Grounds Vol. 1."
To mark this momentous occasion, Mass Punishment presents the release of their first single, "Worldwide Genocide."
The track, recorded and mixed at The Bomb Shelter Recording Studio in NJ with producer George Pond and mastered by Charlie Berezansky at Rivalsound Studio, delves into the depopulation agenda enforced by world governments. It explores various methods and courses of action, from false-flag terror plots to mass shootings, creating a heightened level of panic that pushes society to the brink of mass hysteria.
