UK Northern Power Metal Group SKIES TURN BLACK Joins Sliptrick

Since the release of No Place Like Home ("One of the best guitar albums of the year" – Metal Hammer) in 2018, Northern power metal group Skies Turn Black have added a keytar to line up, diversifying their sound to explore what genre bending electronics can add to the heavy metal at the core of the band. The result has taken the heaviness of dance music such as dubstep, to create an impactful twist to your run of the mill metal.

Since their appearance at Bloodstock 2023, the band have played across the UK, performing at sold out shows in Sunderland, Nottingham, Huddersfield and Bristol.

The second full album from Skies Turn Black is ready for release via Sliptrick Records in 2025.

Skies Turn Black are:
Jamie Jordan – Vocals/Guitar | Xander Isles – Vocals/Keytar | George Turner – Guitar | Danny Woodhead – Bass | Rob Halliday – Drums
