UK husband-and-wife grunge duo SOAPER share second single ‘Say Anything’

Lincolnshire-based grunge/alt-rock duo SOAPER are set to bring you their second single ‘Say Anything’ on December 1st this year. The band describe this track as “A raw and energetic punk-rock tune that pokes fun at a world with too many words”. The track also comes with another captivating and entirely self-produced music video. ‘Say Anything’ was mixed by Tom Peters (Alpha Male Tea Party) and is released via Narrow Door Records (Bicurious, The Last Vinci).

The husband-and-wife duo comment: “‘Say Anything’ really draws on our punk influences and confronts our disdain for the modern world of hyper-information and emotion. It’s an energetic and raw tune that pokes fun at the flawed human psyche, but will still have you singing along by the end!”

SOAPER are a two-piece grunge/alt-rock band from Lincolnshire, UK, consisting of husband-and-wife James and Karina Palmer.

The duo have been hard at work since forming in 2021, touring up and down the UK including support slots with Seas of Mirth, Glitchers, Big Lad, Hectares, A-tota-so, Cheap Jazz, The Last Vinci, No Violet, TRAPS, Bedsit, GUTS, The Soap Girls and My Octopus Mind.

The release of their debut single ‘Inside Out’ brought the pair attention from wider audiences, through the help of airplay and playlist additions across the USA, Mexico, Europe and Australia among others and the duo look to continue the momentum with an ever-growing list of live dates planned and releases stretching into 2024.

SOAPER Press Reviews:

“Frantic, fuzzed out, and fizzy with reverby grunge-inspired guitars and added experimentation. Retro and dirty, with Nirvana-comparable sound and a dynamic vibe.” - ClickRollBoom

“Soaper appeared recently whilst social surfing and what a great band these are, a duo sounding like a full band. This track has intro guitars reminiscent of The Damned, then the banging rhythm track holds it all together” - Outside Left

“Quite simply, these guys wail. They rock. They are awesome musicians and know how to weave magical time signatures, mind bending riffs and brilliant shouty/singy vocals into something bewilderingly coherent and vital” - Alberts Shed
