Toronto Teen Artist Niko Ceci Shares Empowering Release of Anxiety on Pop RnB Single, "Outta Control"

Fast-rising teen actor, dancer, and singer to watch from Toronto, Niko Ceci, is sharing his second single, the propulsive “Outta Control.” This soulful, piano laden pop and RnB number was inspired by the added pressures that come with being a teenager.

The song’s varying beat reflects Ceci reaching a breaking point as it escalates, juxtaposed with slower sections of the song where he talks through his anxieties. Recorded heartbeats and ad libs add texture and presence to the track, reflecting the thoughts racing through the back of Ceci’s mind.

The idea for this song came to me while I was sitting and waiting in an airport. I was on my way back home from holiday break and the reality of life dawned on me. I remembered the school work I had to catch up on, making sure to reply to everyone on social media, exam review was starting and I was freaking out. I thought to myself wow, I could write a song about how I feel right now - and I did. I wanted to let people my age know that they aren’t alone and [that] everyone has ups and downs. – Niko Ceci

Niko Ceci is a fast-rising teen actor, dancer, and singer to watch from Toronto, Canada. He landed his first on-stage role at the age of six when he was cast as the young Michele in a drama production of the great classic Matrimonio all’Italiana. It was that experience that inspired Niko to continue chasing his passion for performing and eventually pursuing it as a career.
His first big break came when he starred as the voice for the musical and animal loving Pablo in the remake of the popular animated series Clifford the Big Red Dog (PBS Kids/Brown Bag Films).
Since then, Niko has amassed a significant body of voice work including playing leads in productions such as Corn and Peg (Nelvana/Nick Jr./Nickelodeon/Treehouse TV), Blue's Clues & You (Nickelodeon), Xavier Riddle and the Secret Museum (Brown Bag Films), and Remy & Boo (Universal Kids).
Coming up next, Niko celebrated his biggest role to date starring as Kev in the highly anticipated teen television series I Woke Up a Vampire, which follows the story of Carmie Henley who wakes up on her thirteenth birthday to discover she suddenly has supernatural powers. The show made its premiere in Spring 2023 on the Family Channel and later in the year on Netflix.
When he is not filming or recording for animation, Niko enjoys dancing (hip hop, jazz, tap, contemporary, ballet) and creating, playing and recording his own music.
