Third Man's first Australian signings The Belair Lip Bombs announce UK / EU tour for 2025 l Lush Life LP out now

Previous press for "Lush Life":

“Jangly, direct, euphoric and yearning, recalling The Beths and Parquet Courts.” - The Guardian

"A really punchy, energetic, melody-drenched pop-rock record the like of which you'd hope to hear late afternoon on 6 Music weekdays." - The New Cue

"Energy and experimentation collide on thrilling debut." - **** NME

"Feverish punk-energy with roots firmly planted in indie-rock's melodic side." - Shindig!

Third Man Records proudly announced the worldwide signing of Australian four-piece The Belair Lip Bombs earlier this summer, reissuing their 2023 debut album "Lush Life", which is out digitally and physically today on standard black LP and a limited edition opaque pink LP.

The record captures widescreen indie songwriting, helmed by Maisie Everett (guitar, keys, vox) and fleshed out by a talented trio of musicians in Mike Bradvica (guitars), Liam De Bruin (drums) and Jimmy Droughton (bass). Featuring previous singles "Stay Or Go", "Gimme Gimme" and "Say My Name", "Lush Life" is a perfect album for first-time listeners to immerse themselves in and signals the arrival of a major new Australian talent.

The album was recorded between Naarm/Melbourne spaces Head Gap and Singing Bird studios, and saw The Belair Lip Bombs work with engineer Nao Anzai (Floodlights, Rolling Blackouts Coastal Fever) on mixing and mastering.

Maisie Everett had the following to say about the record:

“The album is titled Lush Life - these words are referenced a few times throughout the album. Themes or motifs explored in the album often involve a longing for something that isn’t there, but maybe not quite knowing exactly what that something is. The term ‘Lush Life’ sort of describes a picture perfect world where everything is easy (but doesn’t actually exist).

I wanted it to be perfect, and we tried a lot of different things in the studio, in terms of melodies and harmonies. It was a lot of fun. I was playing in another band at the time and constantly on tour which made it hard to finish the album in a linear way. But I’m glad we took our time with it, because it’s turned out exactly how we wanted it."

Following shows at The Great Escape in the Spring and a sold-out headliner at The George Tavern, the band today announce they'll be returning to the UK and EU in January of next year for their first extended headline tour outside of Australia.

Tickets will go on sale on Monday 21st October at 10am BST.
