Theia Invite You to Join the Splash Parade
Burton-on-Trent is set to be the new Ayia Napa as alt-rock duo THEIA celebrate the launch of their new EP The Wet Die Young by throwing an emo foam party, and everyone is invited! The launch party, ‘Welcome to the Splash Parade’, will take place at The Geek Bar in Burton on 18th November and is a nod to the emo of old, with a twist straight out of left-field that you will have come to expect from THEIA. This is one party you do not want to miss.
Talking excitedly about the EP and the thinking behind the show, frontman Kyle explains, “The Wet Die Young is our second EP together, and the first time we’ve covered so much new ground as brothers with our writing. The world has given us plenty to think about over the last few years and we got tired of wondering ‘what if?’ So we did it all - played with new sounds, pushed new boundaries lyrically, and dived deeper into all our weird eccentric behaviour.
“It only makes sense that we want everybody else to dive with us - so we’re asking people to take the plunge and join us at our EP launch. The first ‘emo’ foam party our hometown has ever seen, we’re so excited to shake up what people expect from a rock show. The wet die young, but we only get one life, so you may as well grab a poncho and join us at The Geek Bar on the 18th November!”
The EP will be available on CD exclusively at the launch party and can be purchased alongside your ticket - they will not be available anywhere else, so grab one while you can.
In addition to an energy-filled set from THEIA, and of course the foam party, there will comedy from Pete K Mally, an acoustic set from Jono Hornby, and an emo/alt-rock/pop-punk DJ set will close out the night.

About THEIA
Hailing from Burton-on-Trent, THEIA underwent a metamorphosis in 2021, using both band and societal changes as a catalyst to re-imagine the way they would look and sound as a band. The new musical style reflects the maturity of the duo and provides the listener with a modern alternative to traditional rock music without alienating lovers of the classic rock sound. It’s unapologetic, forward-thinking, anxiety trapped in the strings of a guitar and serotonin released through the desperate grip of a pair of drumsticks. Accompanying the new sound is the full throttle, energetic live performances that fans have always associated with THEIA and flamboyant frontman Kyle Lamley.A
