The Sarandons Release “Dream Machine”

Toronto, ON - July 12 - Toronto-based band The Sarandons are set to unveil their latest single, "Dream Machine," on July 12. Known for their textured sound and evocative storytelling, The Sarandons continue to captivate listeners with their poignant and nostalgic musical narratives.

"Dream Machine" explores the ethereal nature of dreams, where the mind conjures beautiful and vivid scenes of long-lost people and places. These dreams serve as precious, uncontrolled journeys through time, allowing the dreamer to relive moments that have been lost to memory. The song delves into the fleeting and unpredictable nature of these dreams, highlighting their significance and the deep emotional connections they evoke.

As David Suchon puts it, "Dream Machine is about connecting with things that are lost. In the case of my Dad, he'd always be able-bodied in his dreams despite have been paralyzed in a diving accident in 1982. Dreams are a strange world connecting us with a different reality, that is, until the dreamer is lost."

The Sarandons' signature sound is characterized by dripping guitar tones, billowing keyboard melodies, and defiant bass and drums. Their music is a blend of bittersweet nostalgia and familiar yet elusive stories. Despite a loose and lo-fi aesthetic, their songs are meticulously arranged, with action-packed tracks typically spanning 3-4 minutes.

The Sarandons are a fully collaborative endeavor, featuring Toronto music stalwarts Dave Suchon (vocals, guitar), Damian Coleman (bass, vocals), Edmund Cummings (keys, vocals), Craig Keeney (lead guitar), and Phil Skot (drums). This talented group has been creating music together in various projects for over a decade and a half, bringing a wealth of experience and chemistry to their work.

Their upcoming single, "Dream Machine," promises to be a standout addition to their discography, offering listeners a deeply emotional and immersive experience. The song's introspective lyrics and rich, textured soundscape are sure to resonate with fans old and new.
